Sarah Baird, MA, LCPC

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor. I earned my B.A. at Illinois College and I completed my M.S. in clinical counseling psychology at Illinois State University. I live in Normal with my husband, son, and two black cats.

I have been a therapist in community mental health facilities for almost 20 years. In that time, I have worked with a variety of diagnoses including mood disorders, anxiety, family and relationship concerns, substance abuse, grief and loss, ADHD, trauma, domestic violence, perinatal mood disorders, life transitions (marriage, divorce, grief and loss), LGBTQ+ issues, and parenting concerns. I passionately believe that my job as a therapist is to help clients feel safe and heard, to recognize problematic patterns that keep them from achieving their goals, and to identify and utilize strengths they already have to help in making lasting change.

Utilizing CBT, DBT, play therapy, and family therapy I am comfortable working with clients age 8 through adult to identify and address their goals. I am honored to have clients trust me with their stories and feel privileged to help them on the path towards wellness and recovery.
