About Me

I’m Karen and I live in Central IL with my husband, three adorable kids, and the fluffiest dog you’ve ever seen. I enjoy baking, crafting, photography, and being outdoors.

I have my M.A. in Counseling and B.S. in Criminal Justice. I have worked in Community Mental Health and Addictions for the past 10 years. I have experience working with adults and adolescents suffering from ongoing mental health issues including a variety of topics such as trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum disorders, life transitions, and child welfare involvement. My clinical interests include trauma informed care, holistic wellness, and recovery from postpartum mood disorders, sexual assault, and domestic violence. I use a somatic approach and am trained in EMDR and Brainspotting therapy for trauma reprocessing, Perinatal Mood Disorders treatment, and Brainpaint (neurofeedback) for mood disorders and ADHD.

I enjoy teaching stress reduction skills and mindfulness practices that can be used outside of the therapy office. I fully believe recovery is possible and would love to share that hope with you!
